Spring/Summer Deer Mix

A blend of ladino clover, mammoth red clover, white clover, six point chickory, dwarf essex rape, and annual ryegrass.  Seed in the Spring/Summer Mix are chosen especially to offer deer and buck the protein and high energy needed in the spring and summer to promote antler development and an increase in body weight.

This premium mixture provides year-round growth. Plant two weeks before the last killing frost in the spring or any time after the middle of March depending on what region you are in.  The Spring/Summer Mix will give you up to 48 months of lush, highly nutritional forage.

Plant at a rate of 20 lb. per acre on a prepared seed bed. This can be done by raking or using a rotor-tiller, broadcasting the seed, then it in to cover the seed (approx.. 1/4” deep), making sure not to bury seed too deep. If buried too deep ti may slow down or prevent the germination process. Fertilize with 15-30-15 at the rate of 250 lb. per acre.
